The measuring case allows the device to be used in harsh industrial and mining environments, as well as for temporary outdoor use (e.g. for soil air measurements). The Peli brand case has been modified by SARAD. On the left-hand side panel there are three bulkhead fittings for air inlet, air outlet and pressure or differential pressure measurement. The electrical connections are located on the right-hand side of the case. In addition to the jack socket for the 18 V DC power supply, the AUX2 accessory socket is routed outwards, allowing accessories to be used outside the case. A third socket can be customised to the customer’s specifications. By default, this is assigned to the RS485 interface. Alternatively, the analogue outputs or the AUX1 accessory socket can be selected. On the lid of the case there is a multi-colour indicator light to signal various operating states when the lid is closed. The measurement case for the EQF33xx has a mounting hole to which the daughter product sampling head is securely attached. When the sampling head is not in use, the hole is fitted with a blank plug.
Please note: Due to the nature of its operation, the daughter product sampling head must be operated outside the case. Additional protection against dripping water must therefore be provided. The measurement case offers no protection against condensation, e.g. when warm, humid air from the ground is drawn in whilst the device is operating at lower outside temperatures. For permanent outdoor use, a measurement box suitable for the expected climatic conditions must therefore be used. If the connection sockets are not in use, they must be fitted with the protective caps supplied.
Note: When ordering the device with a measuring case, no carrying handle is fitted to the device. If ordered at a later date, the carrying handle can be easily removed by loosening the four fixing screws.
