Exhalation Bonnet

The 430 mm × 430 mm chamber, providing a volume of 27.7 l, was developed to avoid high back diffusion of gas during surface exhalation measurement.

To make the bonnet suitable for a huge variety of different types of surfaces (soil, rock, concrete), it is equipped with an easy removable rubber lip and therefore gurantees a hermetic closure.

Stainless-steel as the one and only material used for construction avoids unwanted artefacts. The quick-lock coupling allows the bonnet’s fast and easy installation. A homogenous gas distribution within the bonnet is either ensured by a plate between air inlet and outlet or, on request, by a mixing fan (for measurements without permanent pump flow).
